Now, on the flip side of the "Best Horror Film Ever Made" thread...we have this honor (or rather, dishonor ;D). This is the film that you consider a total waste of celluloid. It may be a movie that you had heard rave reviews about, only to be left in the theater, scratching your head and wondering why you wasted your money on that piece of horror-garbage.
In my opinion, the worst horror film ever made is... *another drum roll please* ;D
Snowbeast (1977)
God-awful!!
So...how about all of you? Which film do you consider "The Worst Horror Film Ever Made?"

My current bottom is 'The Key' (2008). Simply, the worst film I've ever seen.
Before that, it was Dead End Road (2004) and Zombie Nightmare (1986).

The Maize: The Movie (shouldn't really be called a movie) is probably the worst.

That one is pretty bad. I'd give it no more than 2/10.

Did it go straight to video? I watched Zombie Nightmare on the USA channel a couple of weeks ago. It was lame. I became bored with Dead End Road after about 20 minutes so I didn't even finish it.

You gave it a 0.01/10? Wow...that's got to be a record somewhere. Thanks for the heads-up, Shattered. I'll certainly stay away from that one.

Everyone on here should avoid a movie called Sanitarium. I believe it's from 2001, but everything about it is awful. From the production values to the most convoluted storyline, it's probably the worst that I've ever seen.

Is that the straight to video version? Is it a rip-off of Session 9?

Ever? I gotta say The Off Season (2004) It was obviously straight to DVD. That is no excuse for the awfulness!!! I wanted to murder my TV.

Yeah, it went DTV around 2001. I couldn't even begin to tell you what the movie is about since the story is so ridiculously polluted with garbage and you can't see or hear clearly anything that's going on. I guess it could be considered a rip-off of Session 9, but it's nowhere near as good.
I was lucky enough to grab this on a blind buy...quite possibly one of the most boring movies I've ever seen! Angus Scrimm must have been completely broke to sign up for this crap. It started off decent enough, but nothing happened for 90 minutes.

I'm a huge fan of 'so bad they're good' movies, but two of the worst, and I mention two cos I can't decide which is worse, in recent memory are Trashouse and Adam and Evil.... Jesus wept what utter shit.

I probably should have known better, but a review on the cover compared it to The Shining so I thought, "OOOOO, This is gonna be AWESOME!" I'm sure that had a hand in fueling my hatred.

They actually compared it to The Shining? I hate it when they do stuff like that. The product is rarely like whatever it's being compared to.

Any sane and intelligent person would have pooh-poohed that comparison upon reading it. I just get a little too excited about things. My life is a constant series of let downs.

You know what's hilarious about that? The cover reads, "The Most Haunting Film Since The Shinning!" Really? The Shinning? If you're going to make that terrible comparison, at least get the title right.

For movies that made it to the theater:
The Fog (remake)
For straight to video/dvd:
Most twenty first century crap by Ulli Lommel like BTK Killer or 13 Seconds. It was so badly done that it was shocking. The actors literally read the lines. No emotion. No acting. Just a reading of them.
Here is my mini-review of 13 Seconds.
A perfect example of straight to video crap. It seriously challenges for the worst movie I’ve ever sat through! I won’t even talk about the crap sound, lighting, acting or story. Even when there was a good gore scene—or should have been a good gore scene—it was executed terribly. Avoid.

That's too good to be true! If I had noticed that before I rented it (and I'm not surprised I didn't) I really hope it would have clued me in.

They were actually talking, however, about the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror segment of The Shinning. Perhaps it was more haunting than that, you know. . . comedic cartoon.

Beast of Yucca Flats is pretty bad, as is The Fog remake. And there's no way in hell that I would ever watch The Graveyard of Death. I'm not that much of a masochist.
Here's my bottom three:
3) Zombie Lake
2) Vampires versus Zombies, or is it Zombies versus Vampires?
1) Zombie Nation. The movie that dares you not to go, "Huh?".
