I usually try and hit the theater and least once a month if there's a movie I really want to see, but if there isn't I only go every few months.

I never go. It's not worth the hassle. Yeah especially since it's expensive now a days. Whenever I go I always try and get the matinee because the tickets are $2 cheaper.

a few times a month..
it helps if you have a theater cool enough to play 'postal' and 'zombie strippers'.. not to mention 'rocky horror' every weekend..
granted, i just discovered that theater but i'll be raping it quite often now that i know its there..
not counting that one though i guess we still go about 2 or 3 times a month.. i just enjoy going to the movies..

I've had to vote for the "never" option, seen as the last film I saw at the pictures was LotR: Return of the King... I was never a huge cinemagoer, but I would take a wander down a few times a year to watch something on the big screen, but this is what's killed it for me - I now live in Spain, and the Spanish still have a neanderthal approach to cinema and dub EVERYTHING. I speak Spanish, but it's not the point; I want to hear a movie in it's original language, I find mass-dubbing of a movie to be offensive, it's disrespectful to the actors and everyone involved. It's just plain laziness - fucking train them to like subtitles unless there's a reason that ain't an option, dammit! I wouldn't mind so much but where I am there's only one cinema that shows the flicks in English, and it's miles away. Not to mention it only has two screens and therefore only gets hold of the kind of crap (romantic comedies and your average CG-laden blockbuster) that i have no interest in seeing any damned way.... *fumes* *ahem* ...Rant over... That was somewhat cathartic... ;D

My local theater was built in the early 80s (I think) and it has never been remodeled. There are four screens and one has a huge stain in the middle of it. It's not that noticeable after the movie starts but the fact that I know it's there pisses me off. So, I haven't been in quite a while.

We usually go at least two or three times a month, more if the theater is offering some really great flicks. Sadly, the only reason we go to see horror films is because I happen to love them. My sweetie just ain't into 'em...well, not unless they're in the Saw series. ;D

Most things I really want to see are in limited and frequently a bit of a drive... so I only go to the theater once a month (if I can time it right)... but I'll spend all day there... (but the question was how many times... not how many movies....)

They dub everything, from movie names to music groups to expressions most of the other Spanish speaker countries just say in English... Well, in my case, I hardly want to see any new theatrical movies anymore, so I hardly go to the cinema. Whenever a friend drags me there once every few months I go, but not more than that, it's fucking expensive! At least the movies are subtitled

Way back in the day, all movies in Italy were subbed. This, combined with a lack of formal education, lead to many Italians speaking better English than Italian. In some rural towns, appearantly, English was the first language. Then Mussolini came along. Being a facist and all, this just wouldn't do. He made it law that any movie shown in Italy had to be dubbed. I believe the law stands to this day. Silly facists...

I guess it may be cheating to say I go to the cinema all the time, as I do work in one. Oh, well.

I usually go see one movie during the summer cause I can't stand the crowds and I'll go when something worthwhile is playing. But with my schedule, its hard to find time to go when the kiddies are still in school.

I go once a fortnight.
But, I'm still not one for big budget blockbusters even though I usually get forced into seeing them.
