Just curious if any of you enjoy a movie's soundtrack or score every now and then? If so, what's currently playing for you? Which film's scores get your ears pricking up in general? Are there any artists/composers in particular who you find yourself drawn to their musical vibe?
I've been listening to Javier Navarrete's soundtrack to Pan's Labyrinth lately myself, think it's quite something.

I love the Cannibal Holocaust theme. The Salo theme is great, too.

The Magnolia soundtrack always gets me, it like there's always a track for whatever mood I'm in. The theme from Mike Leigh's "Naked" also haunts me constantly. I often find myself humming it, and I only see that movie about twice a year.

Goodness, yes. Joseph LoDuca's scores for the Evil Dead films are great (I have yet, however, to snag a copy of the soundtrack for the first film). Danny Elfman's score for Batman is all kinds of awesome. Actually, all of his soundtracks are great. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure in particular is fantastic. I'd like to get ahold of the entire score for Darkman if I could.
I also find myself listening to the soundtracks for The Warriors and Cannibal Holocaust now and then.

Cannibal Holocaust has a great soundtrack, it's a very memorable part of the movie too. I can listen to any of Elfman's scores too, he's always so distinctive. Just like you want a copy of Darkman's score, I'd love the full score to Ridley Scott's Legend - not the awful theatrical version with the tone-deaf tootlings of Tangerine Dream on it, the grand, majestic score Jerry Goldsmith recorded for it and was available on the European cut of the movie and now on the Director's Cut, as intended, before the idiotic studio wanted to kiddify everything.

I'm big on the Paprika score right now. Very clever music that suited a very bizarre film.
I'm also flirting with buying the Mirrormask soundtrack. I'm shocked it includes the Close to You avant-garde computer music cover. Of course, you could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw that it was even released and my local BN had a copy.
