OK, so I just watched Fear and thought it was pretty decent. Well, I've recorded tons of horror movies and I need to begin to clear up some space on my DVR. So let's begin! Open Water 2: Adrift (2006) - Well, I never saw the first Open Water, and I'm glad I didn't need too. I've heard the first Open Water is boring by many people, so I decided to move on to this STV-sequel. And to be honest, I really enjoyed it. The plot is pretty ridiculous but they manage to execute it quite well. The characters were likable for the most part. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. 8/10 Up next is: Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 (1990) - Can't say the same about this one. It seems like I'm going backward in this franchise I've seen The Beginning, the remake, and now this. And personally, I liked this the least out of those three. The movie was pretty dull and didn't offer any scares. There were a few moments that provided some laughter, but mostly, this was just a bad film. Not horrible, but not great either. I would say that this is below average. 5/10 And finally: Cape Fear (1991) - I was a little disappointed and expecting a bit more, but the movie still provided enough chills and memorable scenes. The performances by the leads won me over. I loved the score and there was some great dialogue. The score was another thing I loved about this film. Overall, I'm glad I finally got a chance to watch this because I enjoyed it. 8/10 Discuss.

Hey man. I'm one of those lame-o's that actually like L:TCMIII. Don't ask me why. I liked how it was fun, but at the same time I know it was a very weak movie. I kind of liked Leatherface's look in this, and there were some memorable scenes. Overall I liked it, but I know its nothing special. Oh the other two, I'm like you with Cape Fear remake. I was disappointed - but to a larger degree. I didn't like it much at all. I thought it was lacking something key. Regarding Open Water 2, I've only seen the first, but I really like it, and applaud the film-makers for doing something different. I hear the second one is actually suppose to be good too, so I'll check it out next time I have the chance. nice reviews man

[glow=orange,2,300]Can't say I agree with you on TCM 3, but I definitely think Cape Fear is a classic. Was Open Water 2: Adrift really that good? I bought it when it came out on DVD, but I never got around to watching it. I just expected it to be really shitty. Your review made me rethink it though. I'll have to watch it soon and post what I think.[/glow]

Open Water: Adrift was really a pleasant surprise. I went in expecting nothing (because I hadn't seen the first one) and I ended up really liking it. I may like it more than you because I wasn't expecting anything great, but I ended up really enjoying it. I would definitely give it a watch.

I'm pretty sure the original is amazing (going to watch it soon for my marathon) but how's TCM 2? And as for Cape Fear remake, how's the original? Yeah, the remake was pretty disappointing. I was just expecting more

[glow=orange,2,300]TCM 2 is pure, cheesy fun. If you don't take it as seriously as the first film, it's great. I've heard somewhere that this is a favorite of Quentin Tarantino. As for Cape Fear, the remake with De Niro is much better than the original imo especially if you've seen the remake first.[/glow]

Open Water 2: Adrift surprised me. It's derivative, but it kept me entertained throughout. I think the first Open Water is incredibly underrated.
Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III is my least favorite of the (original franchise). I still prefer it to the 2003 remake and the prequel. I have to admit, though, the unrated cut is much better.
Cape Fear (1991) is fine, but nothing worth writing home about. It might be Martin Scorcese's worst movie, but it's still not bad. Even on his worst days, Scorcese's still better than most filmmakers.

What did you think of Juliette Lewis in Cape Fear?
And have you watched TCM 4 yet?

Open Water 2-I haven't seen the entire sequel but I didnt want too, I thought it was ridiculous and lame. The first one is a truly good and sad film.
I love the remake of 'Cape Fear' 9/10

What did you think of Juliette Lewis in Cape Fear? And have you watched TCM 4 yet? I love Juliette Lewis. The only movie I've seen her in besides this was From Dusk Till Dawn and I thought she was great in both of those. I only saw some of it when I was little so I need a re-watch.
