Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. Anywho I saw this over the weekend and enjoyed it. Wanted to say it was great, but not quite. It's a lot better than the shitty Ang Lee version . Ed Norton was a much better Banner then Eric Bana. The cast in this one was a lot better than the other one, but Liv Tyler seemed a bit out of place. Overall though it was great fun and a much better Hulk movie than the 03 version. 7/10.
Your thoughts?

I loved it. I thought the performances were good for the most part (Liv Tyler wasn't as bad as I expected) and the CGI was tolerable. I agree that this was better than the crappy, Ang Lee version. 8/10

Saw it tonight!
Didn't like Liv much. She was a bit annoying for me. It's one of the best comic adaptations/hero movies this decade, and my favorite since Batman & Robin (shut up, I liked it).

My family and I saw this at the beach a couple of weeks ago and, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I had had some serious doubts about Edward Norton being cast as Bruce Banner, especially since I really liked Eric Bana in Lee's version. I have to say, though, that the effects were far better in this version, and Norton did a superb job in his role as Banner. The only problem that I had with The Incredible Hulk was Liv Tyler. I was never convinced that she was a scientist at ANY point in the film and, IMHO, Jennifer Connelly should have reprised that role simply because she is the better actress. But that's just me.

Ehhh, thought it was okay, but not much to write home about. Ed Norton was fine as Banner, Liv Tyler was, as people have said, a bit irritating, but it still didn't improve all that much on the Ang Lee version for me, had the same weaknessess - tries to take the pseudo-science Banner half seriously but then you have Shrek's big brother lumbering about. The Hulk himself still wasn't any more believable, I just don't think it works on film at all. Also he's just not that interesting a character, I wasn't enthralled by the fighting for the last half hour or whatever it was because it's dramatically weightless and it's a bit like me watching someone else play a videogame, becomes tedious quickly.
