Anyone like this zombie/maniac shocker? I thought it was quiet effective and a lot more inventive than the typical zombie fare. For those that aren't familiar, you could describe it as a crude 28 Days Later I guess. A contamination its unleashed on the population by a band of infected ghouls. Also, I think this is the first instance of sprinting zombies. As a result, It feels like it was trying a little harder to do something different, rather than just a bland imitation of what came before it - which it should be applauded for. Lenzi's zombies run, jump, wield weapons and drive vehicles. The are far more immediate in their threat and menace. The story and acting aren't great ( surprise, surprise! ), but serviceable enough. The environmental message seems like a bit of an afterthought, with no real conviction, but its nice that they tried to include a little more depth beyond the bloodshed. All in all I think its a cool movie. Lots of action, a huge body count, blood, gore, and nipple obsessed zombies. Sounds good to me. What did everyone else think?

I enjoyed it, too. Whatever social commentary there was didn't come through too well, but it was enjoyable as just a fun zombie/infected flick. The ending blew, but that was only a minor setback.
