When it comes to watching something how often do you give it the perfect score?
I don't give it out to often, but a lot of times I rewatch flicks I usually gave a 9 before and sometimes bump them up to a 10 if I feel they deserve it. Sometimes I bump em down a little lower, but usually if they don't get higher then just stay at a 9.
If you have given movies the perfect score how many would you say you have rated a 10?
I'd say I've given about 40 that score out of about 900 (maybe a little less) total movies I've seen.

Hmm about 60 maybe from the 1000+ I've seen at this point.

I don't give 10s, but in the true spirit of hypocrisy, I've given plenty of 1s.

A few dozen based on what I've seen at this point. I'm the exact opposite of James. I hate giving 1/10 to a film. Even if it does suck terribly.

A 10 is rare from me, but possible. According to my IMDb voting history, I've given a 10 to thirteen films. Looking them over, I question a couple of those tens, though. I also rarely give ones.

I don't give 10s, but in the true spirit of hypocrisy, I've given plenty of 1s. That's not true hypocrisy. 0 - 10 1 - 9 2 - 8 3 - 7 4 - 6 5 - 5 So, technically, you'd have to give films a 0 to be hypocritical. Ones are fine. lol. For me. . . I used to be a bit more liberal with my 10s, but not much anymore. On IMDb, I give more '10' ratings, simply because they don't have decimal choices. . . so a 9.50 and up is a 10 on IMDb for me. But, I only consider 5 horror films to be perfect, and those are my only real world 10s. I've only given a few films under a 1.0, but never a 0. . . simply because the film was made, therefore some effort was put forth. I've given a 0.10/10, however. lol. I guess that's slightly hypocritical. -AP3-

True, but as far as IMDb's rating system goes, it stands to reason that if I can give a film the lowest rating, I should also give the highest rating from time to time. If there were a 0 choice, I don't think I'd use that, either. Every film deserves at least 1 star for being made in the first place.

I give 10's a lot, and I am arguing with Fool Fool08 on the other board about it. He calls me stupid and says its stupid for me to give many films 10's, but a lot of the time I just feel that's what the film deserves. I see nothing wrong with any rating scale everyone rates different!

Very, very rarely.
If it's an older film and I think it deserves it, I'll give it the 10/10.
If it's a newer release, at most I'll give it a 9/10 upon a first watch. Then I'll revisit it again and see how it holds up when it's not so fresh. So far, one film (the original The Eye) has bumped up like this. Most of the others went down.

I don't give 10's very often, but I don't think of that as meaning a perfect movie. I rate based on entertainment and give the movies that are among my absolute favorites a 10/10. The reason I base it on entertainment is because people often use ratings (like on IMDbullshit) to decide whether or not to see a movie. I know that a movie like A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors doesn't deserve to be called a "perfect" movie. I gave it that rating because I want people to know that it's a movie they should definitely see.
