I have been excited for this film for quite some time now, the trailer looked rather good and I like horror films which go for a slow-burn approach but still have the teens being hacked off. Mandy Lane did in fact have that structure to it.
The film was very well acted, I liked some of the characters and also hated some of them. Just what I want in a slasher film
Many people say the film is boring, I highly disagree with this, I would much rather describe those more dialog driven points as character development. All the scenes where the drugs are used just add to the realism of the film.
When the killing started there was some genuine suspense built up.
The ending was also top notch.
Overall, this is an above average slasher film, with some excellent character development and suspense buildup. I know some people hate it, but I think it's one of the better American slashers, 8/10

I'm going to have to disagree. The ending was very predictable but it was executed nicely, which makes it so good. I thought the whole film was forgettable. There was nothing really interesting about it and they played a song in the background every 5 minutes which got kind of annoying. I could honestly care less about the characters and the death scenes sucked. 4/10 Glad you liked it though

I liked the setting and some of the shots were really nice, it got across the hazey summer and the vastness of the ranch really well however I thought the acting was rather crap and I simply didn't believe that anyone would have that power over people, especially not mandy lane, she wasn't attractive enough or interesting enough. I liked the idea but it could have been done alot better, maybe make ML more vulnerable and keen to get people to like her therefore making it more of a shock at the end. Looked great, nice idea but too shallow to really pull it off in anything other than passable rather forgettable modern teenage slasher. Glad you were entetained but I was not overly impressed

3/10 I’ve never seen the OC, because it looked like crap, I but I can imagine that AtBLML is like the OC with nudity, blood and swearing (the OC meets the Columbine Massacre). I was bored stiff by this display of spoiled kids changing partners, concerned about body image, drinking, and whoring, and the killings came too late to save the movie. I’m too old for this type of shit…
