Has anyone ever thought of this?
I was just watching The Haunting for the first time in probably eight years and, while watching, I was repeatedly reminded of an Orson Welles-directed film. The camera angles, the lighting, the character position, the line delivery, the narration, etc. I felt like Hill House would be turning into Xanadu at any point.
Perhaps the late Robert Wise, who started his directorial career right after Citizen Kane's release, was influenced by Orson Welles. . . then again, who wasn't at that time?
Am I crazy? Or did anyone else feel this way?
Well, yeah, I am crazy, but you get my point. . .
