I'm going to vote against Corman; the bad far outweighs the good. Previous results:Director | % Talent | Votes | John Carpenter | 100% Talent | 7-0 | Jesus Franco | 50% Talent | 3-3 |

Although he's directed a lot of bad stuff he's had some good movies under his belt and really had a good eye for talent. I give him some talent for that. He helped give Robert Towne, Jack Nicholson, Francis Ford Coppola, and several other future stars their starts when they were pretty unknown.

I'm going to have to vote "thumbs down" for Mr. Corman. There are a few of his projects that I thought were entertaining but, for the most part, his work was, well....horrible. This is probably going to sound horrible but....I didn't even realize that he was involved in the films that I liked. I really need to pay attention more....

You people are fools! Except buntcakepan. The man made some bad films sure, but he also made some great classics and MANY great people in the film industry would be completely unknown if it weren't for him.

Looking at his directorial résumé, I see little but schlock. A Bucket of Blood, The Masque of the Red Death, and some other Poe adaptations are the exception. As for starting careers; Towne, Coppola, and Nicholson are all very talented and likely would've been discovered anyway (open to argument, of course).
