Just got finished watching Penny Dreadful and The Hamiltons today, so I've finally gotten around to seeing all 16 films! I was just curious as to which films people liked and disliked. Here's mine from best to worst:
2007 Borderland Lake Dead Mulberry Street Tooth and Nail Crazy Eights The Deaths of Ian Stone Nightmare Man Unearthed
2006 Dark Ride The Gravedancers The Abandoned Reincarnation The Hamiltons Unrest Wicked Little Things Penny Dreadful

2007 Borderland - 7/10 Tooth and Nail - 7/10 The Deaths of Ian Stone - 7/10 Crazy Eights - 6/10 Mulberry Street - 4/10 Nightmare Man - 3/10 Lake Dead - 2/10 Unearthed - 2/10
2006 The Hamiltons - 8/10 The Gravedancers - 8/10 Reincarnation - 8/10 Wicked Little Things - 7/10 Unrest - 6/10 Penny Dreadful - 4/10 The Abandoned - 2/10
Never saw Dark Ride.
Just my two cents: 2006 was FAR superior than 2007. And sorry that I put my ratings in also, I just wanted to let people know that I thought the 2007 films were, majority, horrible. Let's hope 2008 is better. Third time's the charm, eh?

Just my two cents: 2006 was FAR superior than 2007. The first three films I listed for 2007 were decent and after that they were all pretty much horrible/F-worthy. As for the 2006 films, I only hated The Abandoned. Nice to see some love for Borderland. You've gotta see Dark Ride though. It's not the most amazing movie you'll ever watch, but it's fun and campy. If you've ever seen and enjoyed Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse, then you'll probably like it.

I'll give Dark Ride a watch sometime it hits Sci-Fi again lol. Kinda seems like it's a love/hate it type of movie.
As for The Funhouse, I've never seen it.

.... I hated every movie from the '06... I wouldn't give any of them over a 3. I've only seen three of the '07 group (Nightmare Man, Deaths of Ian Stone, and Crazy Eights) and can't say I liked any of them. Nightmare Man was bad... in a deep hurting kind of way. Ian Stone could have been decent (should have been) but had nothing original or really interesting in it, the characters were flat and all seemed to have been ripped out of another movie. Crazy Eights dragged more than any movie I've ever seen, like Ian Stone it had a good premise that was dragged down by sheer incompetence, ti be fair it was edited nicely... and that's as far as I'm going with these comments. Why? Because I'm tired of shit being shoved down the genre fan's throat. Fuck After Dark. Fuck Lionsgate. Fuck their fest. Too often we accept these mediocre offerings, like scared of the sun addicts that we are. Let us rise up and boycott the next crop of Horrorfest. Time to say fuck off to these worthless marketing machines and their worthless waste of celluloid offspring. It's just a thought.

Just kidding, but I can see where you're coming from. Many of the movies that have come out of the Horrorfest have been complete crap. There have been some standouts though IMO like Borderland and Dark Ride. I think that they should go through a better screening process before creating a list of films.
