This is one of my favorite 1930's horrors and one of my favorite zombie movies in general. I'm sure most of you have seen this classic with Bela Lugosi. If so do you consider it to be the first zombie movie or not? Just curious because it's been said it was.

Really its more of a zombie movie than Night of the Living Dead as it deals with voodoo. EDIT: Fixed

It is the first zombie flick but I didn't care much for it. Too stiff and stagey but Bela stole every scene as usual.

Too stiff and stagey but Bela stole every scene as usual. That's pretty much my assessment of Universal's Dracula in a nutshell (I much prefer the Spanish version, it's just lacking Bela's charismatic presence, which in itself is a huge loss and says a lot about how important he was in making the English language version work).
